Trumaker is based in sometimes-sunny San Francisco, California. Our office is abuzz with creators, business people, and your Outfitters. We’re always happy to have customers stop by for measuring appointments at the source.

WHO ARE WE?

Our diverse headquarters team comprises skilled creators from different backgrounds in business, fashion, and technology, united by shared passions for quality and innovation.

We’re cyclists, coffee-nerds, musicians, and perfectionists, and we believe that in clothing as in life, it’s the details that transform good into great.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Enter your contact information online and we will connect you with one of our friendly and knowledgeable local Outfitters. Your Outfitter will come to you at a place and time of your choosing, learn about you and your personal style, show you our line of shirts, blazers, sweaters (and more) and take your measurements to start building your unique size. After your appointment, which should only take about 30 minutes, we build your first shirt and/or blazer and get it in your hands for fit verification.

Once we know you love your first shirt, you can easily get more with only a couple clicks on our online store, or with an email or phone call to your Outfitter. Think of us as your own personal store that only carries one size: yours.

DO YOU HAVE A STORE?

Trumaker does not have a retail location at this time. We consider each of our wonderful Outfitters to be like a mobile retail store where you get amazing personal attention. We may choose to open up some retail locations in the future, though.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Click on Get started and follow the steps to enter your name, email, zip, phone number. Create a password if you’d like. If you’re in one of our sales areas, we’ll connect you with a local Outfitter for a personal fitting. If you’re out of our sales areas, we’ll connect with you about a Style Box of our in-stock items, or you can also shop online.

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

To order in-stock items like sweaters or belts, simply create an account with your email and desired password and order online any time.

To get custom shirts, suits, or blazers, you must first get measured. Sign up at trumaker.com and we’ll send an expert Outfitter to your office or meeting space. Or come to one of our showrooms.

If you’re not in one of our sales areas, but still want some styling help from an Outfitter, we can send you a style box of in-stock items that you can try on for free. Only pay for the things you keep. Sign up online and an Outfitter will be in touch!

HOW DO I JOIN THE TEAM AT HEADQUARTERS?

The first step is to renounce mediocrity. Then you must climb a mountain, wrestle a bear, whittle a Rodin out of driftwood, and perform Van Morrison’s Astral Weeks on your instrument of choice. The first sentence is true, the others are for fun, though completing any of those tasks wouldn’t count against you. WHERE DO YOUR FABRICS COME FROM?

Wherever we can find the best combination of quality and price. This usually means Italy, Japan, Turkey, India, Egypt, or China. We also design many of our fabrics in house, meaning you won't find Trumaker style anywhere else.

WHERE DO YOU MAKE YOUR PRODUCTS?

We make our shirts, blazers, and casual wear in Mexico that makes clothing for some of the best luxury brands in the world. Our T-shirts and belts are made in LA and San Francisco. Our leather goods are made in Italy.

WHAT BRANDS DO YOU SELL?

We currently only sell Trumaker branded merchandise. We take great care to design and build the best quality clothing and accessories available. Because we make everything ourselves, we control the sizing and can ensure that every piece you order from Trumaker fits you well.

WHO DESIGNS YOUR CLOTHING?

Our in-house design and product development team is responsible for creating everything we sell. From original fabric colors and patterns to carefully considered sweaters and scarves. We create every idea in our San Francisco headquarters.

DO YOU CARRY BIG AND TALL SIZES?

Yes, because every shirt and blazer we make is Built-to-Fit for each individual. We use unique measurements to make the perfect cut and size for every guy.

DO YOU HAVE SPECIALS FOR GROOMSMEN AND WEDDINGS?

Sure. Give us a shout at [email protected] or ask your Outfitter. Our dress and casual shirts are ideal for the ceremony, rehearsal dinner, and honeymoon.

Care

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY SHIRT?

For 100% cotton shirts, we recommend machine washing in cold/warm water and hanging or laying flat to dry. If you must tumble dry, do so on low heat unless you want the shirt to shrink.

You can dry clean 100% cotton shirts. For shirts with linen in them, we recommend machine washing in cold/warm water and hanging or laying flat to dry. If you must tumble dry, do so on low heat unless you want the shirt to shrink.

We do not recommend dry cleaning shirts with linen because there may be unwanted changes in color and reduced softness. Shirts with cashmere are to be dry cleaned only.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY SWEATERS?

Wool, wool-cashmere blend, and wool-silk blend sweaters are to be dry cleaned only. Cotton sweaters should be machine washed in cold water and laid flat to dry. Tumble dry low and delicate if necessary.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BLAZER?

All our blazers should be dry cleaned only.

HOW DO I BECOME AN OUTFITTER?

HOW DO YOU SELECT YOUR OUTFITTERS?

We screen thousands of résumés and conduct multiple interviews before offering an Outfitter the opportunity to start a business with Trumaker. It’s a selective process designed to get the absolute best individuals to represent the Trumaker brand and provide world-class service to our customers.

WHAT DOES AN OUTFITTER DO?

Outfitters are trained professionals who work closely with our customers throughout the Trumaker experience. Outfitters go out to customers to take measurements, provide style guidance, and help place orders for Built-to-Fit shirts and blazers and put together looks with Built-to-Fit style. Outfitters are always available to answer questions and offer opinions. They’re the heart and soul of Trumaker.

WHERE ARE YOUR OUTFITTERS?

Our Outfitters are in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento, Denver, Chicago, and New York, with more cities coming soon.

Pricing

HOW MUCH DOES TRUMAKER COST?

Getting a fitting with Trumaker is free of charge. The service and advice of your Outfitter is free of charge.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR SHIRTS COST?

Trumaker button down shirts start at $159 and go up to $295.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR BLAZERS COST?

Trumaker blazers start at $695 and up.

WHAT GOES INTO THE COST OF YOUR ITEMS?

It costs us five to 10 times more to make our Built-to-Fit shirts and blazers than off-the-rack luxury brands of comparable quality, yet our pricing is similar or better. We’re able to do this by offering direct to customer service and no retail mark ups. We also pay a large percentage of each sale to our MVPs, the Outfitters.

IS IT FREE TO MEET WITH AN OUTFITTER?

Yes. It’s free to meet with an Outfitter. You can get measured and get style advice with no purchase necessary. That said, over 95% of guys who meet with an Outfitter make a purchase and most of these go on to be happy repeat customers, ordering again through their Outfitters or online.

SALE PRICE CHANGES

Sometimes we do sales or promotions. We understand the timing can be frustrating when you purchase something just before it goes on sale. So, we’ll adjust your order with credit or a refund if we lower prices on items you purchased within 7 calendar days of the sale.

Payment

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Unfortunately, international credit cards are exempt.

IS IT SAFE TO USE MY CREDIT CARD ON YOUR SITE?

Yes! Our website features an SSL secure connection during the transaction, keeping your information secure and private. Your card information is never stored on our servers and always accessed using a secured token.

DO YOU CHARGE SALES TAX?

“...But in this world nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes.” We charge sales tax on your orders, even the ones you place online.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY PAYMENT INFO?

To update payment on an existing order, contact us at [email protected], or contact your Outfitter. When shopping online, you can add new payment methods during the checkout process.

Orders

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE MY ORDER AFTER I PLACE IT?

Yes it’s possible, but not guaranteed. For Built-to-Fit shirts and blazers, we transmit orders to our factory in one or two business days. Contact us at [email protected] as soon as possible after you place your order. Or, contact your Outfitter. We may be able to make changes if the order has not been begun at our factory. Please note that making changes may delay your order. If your order has been started at the factory, we might not be able to change it, but we’ll always try. Just get in touch with us as soon as you can.

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

To get your first made-to-measure shirt or blazer, you must first be measured by an Outfitter. Sign up online at Trumaker.com and we’ll send a friendly, professionally trained Outfitter to your office or meeting space, or you can visit us at one of our showrooms. Get measured, see and feel our product offering, and let your Outfitter help you place your first order.

HOW DO I SAVE MY FIT PROFILE?

When you get your first shirt, we’ll send you an email follow up asking how you like the fit. Click through to sign in and get to your account. You can also access your fit profile by clicking here. You can either save your fit profile there or let us know you have questions about your fit. We’ll get you sorted from there!

For blazers, your Outfitter will be in touch to review the fit with you. You can always get help at [email protected]

HOW DO I ORDER MORE ONLINE?

Once your fit profile is saved, you can order more Built-to-Fit shirts and blazers on our online store anytime. Sign in and you’ll land at https://www.trumaker.com/shop. Click through to the category you want to shop. Add a shirt to cart by selecting “Your Build”, “Trumaker Build”, or you can build a new shirt from scratch. Every shirt you order will be made to your unique measurements! You can also add off-the-shelf products like sweaters, T-shirts, wallets, or scarves.

CAN YOU RUSH MY ORDER?

We can sure try. Just contact your Outfitter, or contact Trumaker HQ at [email protected] and we’ll do our best.

DO YOU DO CORPORATE ORDERS?

We do. Contact your Outfitter or Trumaker HQ at [email protected] We can do volume discounts for large group orders, events and corporate gifting, and group fittings where we’ve even been known to show up with a bottle of bourbon or two. Just get in touch and we can make something happen.

DO YOU HAVE SPECIALS FOR GROOMSMEN AND WEDDINGS?

We love outfitting guys for their big days. Our Outfitters are also experts at offering style advice to grooms and brides alike. For large groups we can offer volume discounts and some special customization options. We can’t wait to see your wedding pics!

WHERE IS MY ORDER?

Orders for Built-to-Fit shirts typically arrive 3-4 weeks after order placement. For first orders, we only make and ship the first shirt to ensure we get the fit exactly right before proceeding with the rest of the order. Once you save your fit profile, the rest of your shirts typically arrive in 3 weeks.

Built-to-Fit blazers typically take between 4-5 weeks after order, and we only make one blazer to ensure we get the fit exactly right before proceeding with additional blazers.

Ready-to-wear and off-the-shelf items will ship immediately if ordered separately. If ready-to-wear items are ordered with Built-to-Fit shirts or blazers, we hold them and combine shipments.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY ORDER?

We try to combine items to ship together as much as possible. But we do ship the first shirt or first blazer you order before the rest of any shirts or blazers on your order. Why? We want to make sure that first shirt or blazer fits perfectly before we proceed with the rest. We’ll make any tweaks quickly and easily so all your shirts fit exactly how you want them. If you order ready-to-wear items like sweaters or T-shirts, we’ll ship those out with your first shirt, or if that’s all you ordered, we’ll ship those out right away.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

HOW DO I SIGN IN TO MY ACCOUNT?

Click on Sign in at the top right of the page. Enter the email address you used to sign up to Trumaker.com or the email address you gave your Outfitter at the first appointment and then enter your password. If you forgot your password, click on “Forgot password or need to create one” and follow the steps to get a reset password link.

HOW DO I UNSUBSCRIBE FROM TRUMAKER MARKETING EMAILS?

Every marketing email from Trumaker HQ has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click on that to easily and immediately unsubscribe. Or, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll take care of that for you.

HOW DO I ADJUST MY MEASUREMENTS?

HOW DO I RESET MY PASSWORD?

Click on Sign in at the top right of the page. Then click on “Forgot password, or want to create one”. Enter the email address you used to create your account, or the one you gave your Outfitter at your first order. We’ll send you an email with a link allowing you to reset your password.

Returns

READY TO WEAR AND HARD GOODS RETURNS

The item must be returned within 30 days in new condition. This includes belts, wallets, boots, sweaters, or any good that is not custom made. Anything returned past 30 days is subject to company approval for the return.

MADE TO MEASURE AND CUSTOM GARMENTS RETURNS

We do not offer returns/refunds on custom or made-to-measure garments. We build these garments for you and only you, and we do it with the best materials available.

Trumaker will always do everything within its capability to ensure the fit is right and you the client are happy.

For a refund that is issued, you will receive the funds within 5 to 10 business days after the arrival of items to our warehouse.

WHAT IF MY SHIRT OR BLAZER DOESN’T FIT?

If your first Built-to-Fit shirt or blazer requires any minor adjustments, Trumaker will work with you to get your Trumaker fit dialed in just right, whether that is through a small alteration or a complete remake. We’ll save the changes in your profile so all future shirts will fit just right.

If we deem your first Built-to-Fit garment to be unalterable, we will happily remake it for you free of charge.

WHO PAYS FOR RETURN SHIPPING?

Returns are on us. Every ready-to-wear shipment includes a prepaid FedEx return label.

HOW DO I RETURN SOMETHING TO TRUMAKER?

Easily. Every ready-to-wear shipment includes a prepaid FedEx return label and a return form that helps us process your return faster. You can always contact your Outfitter for help, or get in touch with us at [email protected]

WHAT HAPPENS TO SHIRTS YOU GET BACK?

We make each shirt just for you, so we never resell returned shirts as new. But, we may hold on to them to sell at occasional events at our office, or provide them to charities like St. Anthony’s in San Francisco.

CAN I EXCHANGE A READY-TO-WEAR ITEM FOR ANOTHER SIZE?

Yes, the easiest way to do this is to order the correct size and use the enclosed return label to return the size you don’t want anymore.

HOW DO REFUNDS WORK?

We process your return within two business days of arrival at our warehouse. Depending on your payment provider, refunds will appear on your credit card balance 5–10 business days after processing of returned items.

BODY CHANGES

Our shirts are designed to look great in spite of natural body weight fluctuations (+/- 10 lbs). Lose a lot of weight? Congratulations! Gain a lot of weight? Hey, we love food too. If you wish to adjust your fit, your Outfitter will come back for free re-measurements so future shirts fit well. We are not responsible to alter or replace Trumaker shirts in the wake of major body changes after your fit profile has been saved.
